Osonó Theatre goes on tour around Transylvania and Hungary

Between November 13-18, audiences in Miercurea Ciuc, Cluj-Napoca, Târgu Mureș and Budapest will be able to see the performance titled "As Water Reflects the Face" a play based on the personal stories of youngsters. The production, which has already been presented 618 times, as always, will be followed by an interactive audience discussion, which will provide a space to reflect and talk about the subjects and issues raised in the documentary piece. The tour will end on the 18th of November with a performance starting at 7:15 PM at the Budapest Katona József Theatre.

Osonó’s latest Interethnic Theatre Project

Between November 10-13 Osonó Theatre carried out theatre and creative workshops with the support of the Department of Interethnic Relations (Departamentul pentru Relații Interetnice) in Vlăhița, Romania. The project promoted ethnic, linguistic and cultural diversity and opened up a platform for Roma and Hungarian youngsters to meet and learn together.


The workshops were led by Fazakas Misi, leader and director of Osonó Theatre and Mucha Oszkár, actor and trainer of the company. The teamwork and self-awareness games, personality development, speech, acting and improvisation exercises created the opportunity for youngsters of different ethnicities to discover, alongside the joy of creating together, the values in each other.

The upcoming 100th performance of Osonó Theatre’s piece about József Attila

The celebratory 100th performance of the production titled “I don’t exist, only the others see me” (Nem vagyok, csak mások látnak), created of the texts of József Attila, will take place on the 16th of October at 7 pm in the H13 Community Centre. Since the 21 February 2022 premiere, the production has been presented in 32 settlements of 7 countries as an irregular literature lesson, classroom theatre, and studio theatre performance. The piece performed by Mucha Oszkár and directed by Fazakas Misi is not only a recital of lyric works but also a pretext for the emergence of present-tense thoughts.

Erasmus+ again by Osonó: an upcoming Youth Workers project in Budapest

The project is carried out as part of a long-term regional initiative which aims to compensate for the difficulties faced by youth workers in the region, providing them with opportunities for professional development, networking and recharging.Between October 1 and 5 Osonó Theatre will host its 10th Erasmus+ project in Budapest. The project titled “Health for a Better Future - Personality development and health awareness in education” aims to support youth workers by offering diverse, personally and professionally valuable non-formal training. In addition to sharing innovative educational methods, the training also provides an opportunity for recharging and professional networking for the participants arriving from Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.


The project, carried out with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme, offers workshops focusing on self-awareness, healthy lifestyle, physical presence, concentration, mind-body balance, and involves activities and training that explore and support the maintenance of physical fitness, which means that the methodology of theatre education is combined with health awareness exercises. Therefore, the workshops will be very colourful and diverse.


The aim of the project, which received the fancy name Health4Future, is to provide a supportive environment for participants to face current challenges and to gain professional inspiration, motivation and state-of-the-art methods that will enhance the quality of their future work.
