SYNOPSIS
The second part of the trilogy by the author from Târgu Mureș, "Tunnel Vision" (Bányavakság), is a bitter comedy about the blindness of a community in an unnamed Székelyföld village. The characters exist at the last stage of disintegration, where people lose their identities and humanity. They are not blind due to illness but because of poverty, distorted ambitions, and secrets. They are driven by the struggle for survival, living like blind people: voting like the blind, pretending not to see the sister's pain or the girl's straying, and ignoring the emptiness left by the logging mafia. They are blinded by interethnic blindness and fail to see that the whole village is gradually dying and being dismantled.
